This collaborative project with fashion designer Rachael Brooks attempts to redevelop the typical high heel to allow for an interchangeable heel.

Not only was the goal to create a shoe with the ability to change height but also the ability to be constructed by the wearer saving manufacturing costs.  The concept shoe was developed to be constucted in an origami style allowing for flexibility in the sole.

Demonstrated here with a variety of objects the shoe can be changed from a high to a low heel.  The shoe can also be deconstructed and flat packed.

The adjustable heel allows for a large amount of creativity from the wearer.  A heel can be chosen to be colourful, or vary in shape.  This gives the buyer the chance to define their own style.
